In addition, the Institute offers scheduled tailor-made or special short courses for One Month (1) – Basics of Wildlife Management, Two Months (2) – Wildlife Management and Three Months (3)- Basics of Wildlife Management. One-month
This is a tailor-made elementary course in Wildlife Management. The course is intended to appraise the respective trainees on general knowledge in wildlife management
Two-month
This is also a tailor-made elementary course in Wildlife Management but conducted for two months.
Three-month
i. This is a short course in Basics of Wildlife Management intended for village game scouts. The contents of the course draw from courses in 2.2 above but with much reduced details.
ii. To upgrade the knowledge in wildlife conservation for those aspiring for Basic Technician Certificate who have completed ordinary level secondary education but do not have the required minimum entry qualifications
iii. The course is also offered to ordinary level secondary school leavers who are aspiring for undertaking a Basic Technician Certificate course but do not have the required minimum entry qualification. Nevertheless, the applicants must have scored 28 points or more i.e. 27, 26, 25 etc. Students who pass in this course qualify to apply for a course in BTCWM

Three-month

1. Candidates without direct qualifications for admission into BTCWM course (i.e. without at least D in Biology and Geography in form four results) or
2. Candidates with standard seven plus relevant work experience in the Wildlife sector from WMAs, District Councils and NGOs
3. Applicants are required to submit filled application forms provided by the Institute to the Principal. Applicants who are employees of govern-ment, GOs and NGOs, should submit their application forms through their employers.
4. Successful candidates will be notified directly or through their respective employers.
5. Selected candidates will be required to register within the first week of the course.
6. After registration, students will be required to obtain and read thor-oughly the Institute regulations.
7. Candidates who will fail to report within the first week of the course shall not be registered.
